Firm Participated in Atlantic Builders Convention
Attorneys at the firm participated at the Atlantic Builders Convention that was held April 6-8, 2005, in Atlantic City. The three-day event is the largest building industry trade show in the Northeast with a large, diverse target audience from six states. Convention participants attended over 41 educational seminars that focused on industry, political and regulatory issues. Three of the firm’s attorneys presented at the following seminars:

Dennis A. Estis participated as a panelist for the Summer Associates Program sponsored by the New Jersey State Bar Association Young Lawyers Division on July 18, 2005. Steven Nudelman served as the program moderator.
Stephen H. Knee spoke at the National Exit Strategy Conference in Atlantic City on August 12, 2005.
Mark H. Sobel served as moderator and Cipora Winters, Dina M. Vanides and Hany A. Mawla presented at the 2005 Family Law Summer Institute sponsored by ICLE on July 26-27, 2005.
Barry S. Goodman presented “Important Legal Developments You Must Know to Reduce Your Liability” to the Burlington Camden County Association of REALTORS® on September 14; to the Monmouth County Association of REALTORS® on September 23; to the Hunterdon/Somerset Association of REALTORS® on September 30; to the Cumberland County Board of REALTORS® on October 6; to RE/MAX of New Jersey on October 18; to the North Central Association of REALTORS®, Inc. on November 3; to the Meadowlands Board of REALTORS® on November 10; and the Gloucester Salem Board of REALTORS® on December 1, 2005.
Robert S. Goldsmith presented at the seminar, “Urban Development: Piecing Together the Urban Redevelopment Puzzle” on May 12 and Part II of the seminar on September 13, 2005. Mr. Goldsmith spoke at the seminar, “Strange Things Happened on the Way to Redeveloping Edgetown, NJ” at the International Council of Shopping Centers New Jersey Alliance Program on October 11, 2005. Mr. Goldsmith also spoke at the seminar, “Downtown Parking Strategies” at the New Jersey Chapter, American Planning Association Conference on October 28, 2005 and “Eminent Domain and the Tools of the Redevelopment Trade” at the New Jersey State League of Municipalities Conference on November 16, 2005.
Mr. Goldsmith, Kenneth T. Bills, Kevin T. McNamara and Arren S. Goldman spoke at the seminar “Commercial Real Estate Financing” hosted by Lorman Education Services on July 21, 2005.
Meryl A. G. Gonchar spoke at the “Annual Land Use Update” hosted by ICLE on June 1. Ms. Gonchar also spoke at the seminar, “Practicing Before Land Use Boards,” hosted by ICLE on September 28, 2005.
Gary K. Wolinetz spoke on the legal history of slavery in New Jersey at the annual conference of the New Jersey Historical Commission on November 20, 2005. He also lectured on civil litigation, along with the Honorable Bryan D. Garruto, at an ICLE seminar on May 23-24, 2005.
Andrea J. Sullivan and Steven Nudelman served as panelists at the seminar entitled, “Partnering in Making the Record” at the Certified Shorthand Reporters Association of New Jersey Annual Spring Convention on March 12, 2005. Ms. Sullivan also presented at “An Update on Chancery Caselaw” at the New Jersey State Bar Association Annual Meeting on May 19, 2005.
Marc J. Gross was sworn in as vice president of the Essex County Bar Association on April 18, 2005. Mr. Gross also served as moderator for the seminar, “Fear Not About Practicing in Federal Court,” at the New Jersey State Bar Association Annual Meeting on May 20, 2005.
Steven Nudelman served as a New Jersey delegate to the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Assembly at the Mid-Year Meeting held February 10-13, 2005 in Salt Lake City. Mr. Nudelman published the article, “A Primer on Liability for Plumbing Professionals,” in the March/April 2005 issue of Plumbing Systems & Design. Mr. Nudelman has also been re-appointed to the Executive Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association Young Lawyers Division as a Member-at-Large for 2005-2006.
