Marc Gross Named President of The Essex County Bar Association (ECBA)

Marc J. Gross, partner in the Litigation Department, became the President of The Essex County Bar Association, which was founded in 1899. With 3,000 members, it is the largest county bar in New Jersey. It is also the most diverse. Since its inception, the ECBA has enthusiastically implemented programs and aggressively embraced positions to meet the needs and concerns of the Essex County legal community and the community-at-large. In his tenure, Marc has, among other projects, moved the association to new quarters in the Newark Courthouse and negotiated a deal with the NJ State Bar Association that allows lawyers to join both associations for a reduced price, thus doubling law related educational opportunities for members.

Mr. Gross was the recipient of the Young Lawyers' Section Achievement Award from the Essex County Bar Association (1999). In August 2002, he was selected by the New Jersey Law Journal as one of the leading 40 attorneys in the state under the age of 40. In 2005, he was recognized by NJBIZ magazine as among the 40 most prominent business people in the State under the age of 40. Marc also follows Chairman Paul A. Rowe, who was the president of ECBA in past years.
