Dennis A. Estis moderated a program entitled “Untying the Gordian Knot” concerning the use of experts in mediation, at the Annual Meeting of the Dispute Resolution Section of the ABA held in Atlanta on April 8. Mr. Estis was appointed as a member of the Nominating Committee of the ABA Dispute Resolution Section in March.
Mr. Estis and Christine F. Li spoke at the Lorman Education Services seminar, “Legal Aspects of Condominium Development and Homeowners’ Associations in New Jersey,” on April 25.
Stephen H. Knee participated in the 2006 Business Law Symposium hosted by the New Jersey State Bar Association and the New Jersey Corporate Counsel Association on March 3.
Douglas K. Wolfson spoke on “Opening Statements for Trial” at the Annual Conference of the National Employment Lawyer’s Association of New Jersey on April 8.
Barry S. Goodman presented “Key Legal Issues You Must Know to Prevent Lawsuits,” to the Ocean City Board of REALTORS®, Atlantic City and County Board of REALTORS®, and Cape May County Association of REALTORS® on June 16 and to the Passaic County Board of REALTORS® on June 29.
Thomas J. Denitzio, Jr. was a speaker at the 3rd Annual Recent Developments in Real Estate Law seminar hosted by the Middlesex County Bar Association on January 30.
Robert S. Goldsmith presented at the Redevelopment Law Institute hosted by the Institute for Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) on February 24 and at Data Day sponsored by the Brownfields Redevelopment Task Force of the New Jersey Office of Smart Growth on March 31. Mr. Goldsmith spoke at the seminar, “Redevelopment Case Studies,” at the Atlantic Builders Convention in April. Mr. Goldsmith also presented at the Parking Strategies Symposium held at the New Jersey School of Architecture at the New Jersey Institute of Technology on May 12, and at the Downtown New Jersey Conference held on June 8.
Thomas C. Senter, Brian R. Selvin, and Peter D. Crawford, Jr. conducted an all-day seminar for Lorman Education Services on the topic, “Tax-Exempt Organizations in New Jersey” on January 26.
Margaret Goodzeit was a presenter at the 2006 Family Law Symposium hosted by ICLE on January 28.
Christine F. Li spoke at the ICLE 2006 Annual Real Estate Conference on the topic of condominium conversions, held at the New Jersey Law Center on April 5. Ms. Li presented at the program “Condominium Conversions – Residential, Commercial and Mixed-Use Developments: Opportunities in Today’s Real Estate Market”, which was co-sponsored by the firm and held on May 11.
Meryl A. G. Gonchar spoke at the 2006 Land Use Update hosted by ICLE on June 21.
Gary K. Wolinetz lectured at a seminar hosted by ICLE on civil litigation o May 15 & 16. Mr. Wolinetz was also named chairman of the Plainsboro Zoning Board of Adjustment.
Marc J. Gross was named President-elect of the Essex County Bar Association at its annual dinner on April 24. Mr. Gross was elected treasurer of the Federal Practice section of New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA). Mr. Gross served as a panelist of the seminar, “Hot Topics in Federal Practice,” at the NJSBA Annual Conference on May 19 in Atlantic City.
Lora L. Fong was featured in the cover story of the March issue of DiversityInc Magazine, entitled “Candid Talk from Women of Color.” Ms. Fong was a panelist on a discussion that was part of the Asian Pacific Heritage Celebration sponsored by the Department of Justice, US Attorney’s Office for the District of NJ, entitled: “Celebrating Decades of Pride, Partnership, and Progress,” held on May 5. Ms. Fong served as moderator for the seminar, “Garden State Variety: Diversity and the Business of Law – Perfect Together!” at the NJSBA Annual Conference on May 18. Ms. Fong was also sworn in as a member of the Board of Trustees of the NJSBA.
Steven Nudelman co-presented a breakfast program entitled, “Liquidated Damage Clauses in Construction Contracts: Drafting Considerations & Trends in the Law” to Division 5 of the American Bar Association Forum on the Construction Industry at its 2006 Annual Meeting in San Diego, California on May 19.
Hany A. Mawla was appointed to the Family Law Executive Committee of the Essex County Bar Association.
Adam B. Kaplan presented “Bridge the Gap: Ethics for New Pennsylvania Attorneys” at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick for ICLE on April 17.
Jordan A. Stern has been appointed as a member to the Eagleton Institute of Politics 50th Anniversary Alumni Committee.
